Infantry (Hospital) 15.3W GBP-LUT-GA
Basic infantry division for defense. 15.3W with the Large Unit Tactics doctrine. It can stay the same throughout the game if you use tanks for offense, or you can build it up to an offensive infantry division if you do not want to rely on tanks.
Infantry (Hospital + Recon Rangers) 35.4W GBP-LUT-GA
Infantry division I usually use as all-rounder in SP when I do not bother building tanks. For example, with the UK I generally build tons of 15W infantry to hold the line in France which then I slowly build up to this template to push the Germans. With the Large Unit Tactics doctrine you get a sweet 35.4 combat width. I like the Hospital support company for the additional HP and the trickle-back, but it can be replaced by other support companies (Logistics or Maintenance, for example).
(29.9w) Infantry Division - Fire Concentration and Large Unit Tactics subdoctrine
A infantry division to hold the line build entrenchment, and counter attack. 29.9 Width fits into forest tiles without malus and will overstack in plains tiles allowing 3 divisions to fight at the same time. This division is able to attack or counter attack reliably. Convert from existing 20w template to maintain existing unit experience, equipment and frontline cohesion.
(20w) Line Holder Infantry Division
A defensive infantry division to hold the line and build entrenchment. 20 Width fits into forest tiles without malus and will overstack in plains tiles allowing 4 divisions to fight at the same time. This division is able to attack or counter attack reliably with planning bonus.
(20w) Emergency Infantry Division
An emergency infantry division to be trained and immediately deployed as an untrained Green divisions to hold the line and build entrenchment. 20 Width fits into forest tiles without malus and will overstack in plains tiles allowing 4 divisions to fight at the same time.
(36w) Infantry Division - Fire Concentration and Large Unit Tactics subdoctrine
To be used in a region with majority plain tiles after unlocking Fire Concentration and Large Unit Tactics subdoctrine, giving reduced infantry and line artillery combat width. Convert from existing 36w template to maintain existing unit experience, equipment and frontline cohesion. This division will receive -20% combat width maluses when attacking into forest terrain.

(29.2w) Polish/Lithuanian Infantry Division - Fire Concentration and Large Unit Tactics subdoctrine
To be used against Germany to both defend and counter attack after unlocking Fire Concentration and Large Unit Tactics subdoctrine, giving reduced infantry and line artillery combat width. Convert from existing 30w template to maintain existing unit experience, equipment and frontline cohesion.
