Desert Assault
Currently playing as Iraq and trying to come up with a decent offensive template to do well across the desert. Low manpower, low supplies and weak industry are all part of the fun in this run. Wanted to get your opinion and tips on good ways to navigate these constraints

Superheavy orgwall
Irregulars and mobile infantry are tied for the highest org doctrine, fun fact! You get better light infantry stats from irregulars, making it the peak doctrine for what I am showcasing here, the superheavy org wall. Great if you want to roleplay taking casualties like its halo.
The Despicable Slug
When all you have is one iron, you can build this despicable disgusting thing. This is why turret stacking is being nerfed to the ground. Once you level your AA guns, this slug can shed its penetration for even more soft attack. This ones more a mechanical justification for developer actions, because, well. We live in a world where stamped rifles take 2x the iron of a milled bolt action rifle, but a heavy tank with 35 soft attack can cost 1 iron. I'd really love a world where the developers quarantined extra turrets to interwar hulls, but we got proper coaxial weapons with stricter caps for the during-the-war tanks: More flavor options, but the limits needed for a worthy balance. Limit good guns (anything with a 2 or a heavy in the name,) to actual current day to make the trade between turret spam memery and a practical modern tank solution feel like it has meaning. (The SMK is the only vehicle I can think of that really defies this trend... Its a worthy sacrifice.)

Limber Masters (1939)
Another summer beta inspired one. Cav get +5 HP from cav recon with mounted infantry, limbered artillery gets speed 8 and 390-410 hp with this. So you cavalry becomes this immensely flexible unit that matches a wide variety of units with speed. Camels and elephants will go hard next patch. Especially camels since those get positive terrain modifiers. Rocket artillery also gets a huge breakthrough buff, so cav with towed rockets captures the flavor of the unique summer beta insanity. --THIS IS MORE A SHOWCASE OF THE FLEXIBILITY, this uses pretty early tech to highlight this-- I went with pioneers specifically to give the cavalry a tiny subset of terrain types they aren't unacceptably bad on. -- Plus posidon is the god of the sea and horses so lets align our cavalry with their proper elemental affinity here. -- To upgrade this, you can use mechs harden it a little, boost hard attack, and breakthrough. We like our cavalry a little hardened in this household. Armored cars could work for attacking in moderation, but an an offensive version should have flame-tanks and signal companies, as well. --WEAKNESES-- Can't cheese the HP with hospitals. Terrain modifiers are bad. Combating the terrain modifiers is expensive. This is supposed to be cheap so the upgrades being expensive is a weakness.
Finnish tank division
Finlands tank division 1944. Basically everything we(yes i am finnish) had put together. The medium batallion represents a mix of lights, mediums and heavies, as well as self propelled arty. Tds are german stugs. Rangers are elite light infantry. No docktorines.
Bathtub Assault, bathing warfare.
I promised you a commando free division template this time, so I present you with the fastest, highest hard attack bathtubs I have while being able to poke the limits of 1k soft attack and having a strong flyswatter. This fails that promise, I used marine commandos here. I can never be free. Bathtubs are able to operate independently of pesky armored doctrines, so you can pick armored doctrines that buff regimental armor a lot while you optimize your rocket and recon units that forget to bathe to a comedic degree. Did I mention its not too difficult to make bathtubs dirt cheap and this also gives you ok cavalry? This is mobile inf.
Mountain guns.
Cold weather specialists is a cracked doctrine, but two things that are greatly intriguing about the competing doctrine are the initiative gained by mountaineers, and the artillery bonus on recon rangers you get with elevate the mountaineers. I decided to do something weird, and select doctrines that aren't all about offensive operations. The initiative from elevate the mountaineers, signal companies, and the coordination bonus from grand assault creates a unique set of conditions. If you throw a bunch of these guys in one battle, they will all select one target and often concentrate and hit that target together, with about 50% more probability than you'd see with a normal unit (This gets better with radio research,) and then focus down the next one, effectively making them really good at reinforce meming. You get to see rabid units that know when the enemy is weak, and then hammer the enemy there. Nice. As a special forces unit, they have HP issues, but I've mitigated it with my normal commando HP stacking that has to be the unique flavor of my divisions at this point. You can probably just smell the commandos just walking in the room. Its my MSG, I like the surviving bodies, experienced soldiers, reduced attrition, and low equipment losses, even if it has a short term cost. I'm sorry, I'll use anti-commando deodorant next time. 33 Width is another combat width you might target with this, but I kept it a bit skinny to fit with the mountain theme.
Swedish Family Picnic, bathtub edition
You might have zero clue whats going on here. I've lost it. I've given my militia an amtrac bathtub for their summer picnic to better claim new jersey from the filthy claimants who want my rightful colony. I will not be stopped, the family is coming home.
Historical 1941 Germany Infantry
This not actually really historically but this is the best design I can build with historical reference, but if someone can design with high efficiency than this design or suggest the improvement your can left the comments
Division recovery rate study: Armored Cars are cracked
**This is not an optimized division, but labbing out how to get one stat very high.** Armored cars have exceptionally high org regeneration with military police, mobile assault recon, and armored cavalry/armored spearhead as an interesting discovery. Going with armored cavalry also gives you practical buffs to their cost, which is very necessary. Peak recovery rate Superior firepower+Infiltration tactics+Armored spearhead+Mobile assault recon+Large unit tactics, where their solo recovery rate goes to triple that of infantry, which might be a useful property in ultra niche cases as their HP and organization are also not bad for a support unit, being the highest of the non-infantry options AFAIK. Especially since you know, you are hardening your boys in the field. Hardness is a stat. This is unlikely to be useful for sane players, but I found it interesting to try and figure out what's the peak recovery rate you could get with decent HP and org. (Honestly, if armored cars had MIO compatibility with truck and/or light tank manufacturers, and used something closer to 40 vehicles a unit instead of the current 60, they might be a decent general unit now with their monstrous recovery rate. If paradox reads this place.)
