Tip: Don't Sleep on Airborn Light Armor
So, airborn light armor has almost the full stats of a armored division with more than twice its tanks (75% at base,) and it benefits fully from tank doctrines, your special forces doctrine, and your operational doctrine. As such, an improved light tank (Not even an advanced one,) can give nearly 100 breakthrough here if built right. You can breakthrough meme with it, it gives so many stats it can even be worth it to throw out a % attack bonus you'd get from a proper recon company sometimes (This would let you use support doctrines like field engineering instead of assault recon, as an example.) Its just a really shredded addition especially for big infantry balls without any heavy guns backing them up, as a small budget of tanks can just be too many stats. POST SUMMER BETA: Yeah so, uh, current summer beta patch would give this a fat ~105 ish breakthrough with the buffs to the extra ammo stowage, and way more defense.
1 iron IFV
You could make a shovel in minecraft instead. Just a test of how much stats I can throw on a little brick that costs one steel only. Cost more than the light tank version but medium tanks are 50 to a unit instead of 60, so the overall cost for these is actually lower if you don't use the army spirit subsidized contracts. Comes a few years earlier in tech than the phrankenphreak too, since medium tanks are '39. You can save one IC with the autocannon, and another going christie instead of interleaved, but I went with the small cannon because it really doesn't matter you'd pick the one that fits your resource needs anyhow. You could obviously go cheaper but that wouldn't be maximizing the overall stats for an 1 steel only IFV. Its an IFV. Its about maximizing your infantry combat power. Unsurprisingly, the light tank version is also pretty much the same design. Earlier versions pre-autoloader would use a machinegun or armored skirts instead.

Wielded armor costs 12 IC instead but uses 1 chromium. Do what you wish with the rest. Uses improved rather than advanced hull for that sick 1 metal use only, making its metal use only about 20% more than a 1940 artillery piece. Only rushed techs here are better radios to highlight the benefits of this approach.
