Legitimately an optimized land cruiser. You may wonder "What is this for and why would you build it." Its simple, its able to shoot down 99.75% of close air support. Its a brick of stats that cheaply removes the air war from the game for people who really have grown tired and just want to battleplan. It is budget if you get the breakthrough points for it, as the AA you would need to match this vehicle in performance would consume an industrial capacity that is dozens of times more expensive. The artillery needed to tie with it also matches it in cost. Yes, the metal cost is depressing, but for a land cruiser its relatively chill. If you lack 4 breakthrough points you can give up 5 soft attack and make it much cheaper though by replacing the railway artillery for a simple 3 breakthrough version. At least 1942 and definitely banned in your local server.

Damn, ~400 air attack is wild 👀

@SWISH The thing is, the calculation on whether a plane entering a battle gets shot down entering it for close air support is weird. Its average unit air attack/400 that checks whether the plane survives participating in the battle last I checked. Its wilder than it sounds. This is why a few of the multiplayer balance mods ban land-cruisers. Like, they aren't in the game with those mods.

The math behind AA damage in battle is really interesting tho. With 55 AA per your average division you softcap "Cas damage reduction" at 75%, but also limit enemy fighters to getting grounded or killed 1/8 times. The jump from nothing to ~55 AA is an immense damage reduction turning an aircrafts lifetime damage from some immense, joke like number to the damage that an undefended airstrike would do over two attacks (Avg 8 flights at 1/4th damage-> ~2 unmitigated strikes before grounding. This is hugely cost effective.) But, because its a ratio of damage over 400, going from 55 to 100 AA is still very effective, as the average air wing will get grounded after 4 flights then, that the cost to air strike you increases massively from 55 to 100, which as the enemy aircraft should still be surviving half as many flights without repair or death. Returns only start to diminish hard going from 100 to 300, but as you close in from 300 to 400, the returns get saucy and good again as once you approach a 100% grounding rate, since now the enemy is living with a dead airforce. At least unless paradox changed the math since last time I read the files in which case I'll need to update all these numbers.

Resource cost for land cruiser is just wrong. Its like 4 times rhe cost of real ships
